Command nsdetect turns NAT32 DNS Detection on or off for the specified interface. When invoked with no arguments, the current setting for each interface is printed.NOTESWhen invoked as nsdetect 0, a DNS server address is detected even if the mechanism has been turned off on all NAT32 interfaces.
The NAT32 DNS Detection mechanism monitors incoming DNS responses. If a valid DNS response is received on an Internet-connected interface, NAT32 sets its current DNS Server address to the source IP address of the detected DNS response. Such responses typically arrive after a Windows application does a DNS lookup. The mechanism allows NAT32 to resolve DNS names even if no valid DNS Server address was configured by the user.SEE ALSO
